About the Department
Commerce with Computer Applications is a UG program designed to enrich students in various aspects of computer technology integrated with commerce. The program bridges the gap between commerce and technology, equipping students with the skills required to excel in the digital era. It provides aspiring students with outstanding learning opportunities under the guidance of highly qualified and experienced faculty members who are committed to nurturing talent and fostering innovation. Established in 2022 with an initial student strength of 70, the program has grown steadily, attracting students with its unique blend of traditional and modern teaching methodologies. The curriculum is tailored to include hands-on training, case studies, and project-based learning, ensuring students develop practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge. Additionally, the program emphasizes industry readiness by integrating the latest advancements in computer applications and their relevance to commerce. This holistic approach prepares students not only for academic excellence but also for careers in diverse sectors such as finance, IT, data analytics, and entrepreneurship. Through workshops, seminars, and internships, the program ensures that students are well-equipped to meet the demands of the ever-evolving business landscape

Eligibility

Good efficiency in Commerce, Accountancy with any other two subjects and Computer Science / Computer Applications compulsory.

- Develop and regularly review a curriculum aligned with current industry standards, making it relevant and outcomes-based.
- Periodic conduction of student project expo to stimulate and exhibit students creativity in various diverse topics
- Release department annual magazine to develop the students editorial capacity, team work, creative and artistic works.
- Value added course is being conducted in the department in collaboration with the industrial experts, special training agencies with MoUs to develop the skills of the student to face the competitive world every year.
- Encourage interactive teaching methods, such as flipped classrooms, group discussions, and project-based learning to engage students.
- Use periodic assessments to monitor student progress, provide feedback, and address learning gaps in real-time.
- Assign academic mentors to guide students in career planning, and navigating challenges.
- Inorder to promote equality by reducing socioeconomic disparities, foster a sense of unity and belonging among students, and prepare them for professionalism by instilling a sense of discipline and adherence to department dress standards.
- Offer support in internships, resume building, interview preparation, and job placement to prepare students for the workforce.
- Hold periodic student council meetings to discuss department updates, address issues, and maintain open lines of communication.
- Engage with the local community through volunteering, workshops, and events to establish a positive departmental reputation.
- Build relationships with industry partners for internships, seminars, guest lectures, international conferences, workshops and collaborative projects.
