Extra Curricular and Co-Curricular Activities
An extracurricular activity is an activity, executed by students, that falls outside the territory of the regular curriculum of college or university edification. Such accomplishments are usually voluntary social, philanthropic, and habitually involve others of the same age. Students and staff direct these activities under faculty patronage, even though student-led initiatives, such as autonomous newspapers, are very common.

The two units of NCC (Infantry and Armoured) strive to groom the students to be leaders in all walks of life and render their services to the welfare and betterment of society. As a step towards women empowerment, the Infantry wing introduced enrolment for girl students in the year 2004 - 2005. Our students represent the college both at the National and State levels. They have participated in the Republic Day Parade and in Youth Exchange Programmes bringing glory to the college and Nation.
The NSS unit of D.G.Vaishnav College provides a platform to the students for community work and developing a sense of engrossment in the tasks of nation-building. NSS volunteers work to ensure that the needy get help to enrich their standard of living. A variety of activities are organized every year to channelize the energy and idealism of the younger group into creative pursuits. They edify students and society regarding many issues like healthiness, hygiene, palliation, etc. Various health base camps and cleanliness initiatives across campus and slum areas nearby are taken out regularly to create awareness and also to motivate people to work towards a clean environment.
